What is a blind pass and when can I use it?

A blind pass can be used on the third pass of the first and second Charlestons - the first left and second right passes only. During these passes, a player can choose to pass 0, 1, 2 or 3 of their own tiles and make up any shortfall with tiles that have just been passed to them (as 3 tiles must be passed). Blind passes are also referred to as 'stealing' a tile. However, you are not permitted to look at the tiles you receive from another player before passing them on, hence the name 'blind pass'.
