Perhaps our game is getting blocked at the network level. We sometimes see this in work environments, where admins block games to prevent their employees from playing while at work. Games also sometimes get blocked on cruise ships and at some hotels. 

If you're connected to such a network, that may be the issue. In this case, if your phone has connectivity, try playing on the phone or use it as a hotspot for your other device to connect to.
